Jesus was on his way to heal Jairus’ daughter when a woman touched him. Instead of being inconvenienced, he healed them both. Jesus can heal any and all ailments.
The Story
Today we read the story where Jesus heals the woman with the issue of blood and Jairus’ daughter (Matthew 9:18-25). Jesus performed two miracles in this story and can heal any illness.
Shape Match

This activity is super simple, and works on so many skills. Shape recognition, color recognition, fine motor skills. Also, tied in because this girl has many illnesses, but Jesus can heal them all.
What You Need:
- Picture of Girl (you can make your own, or use ours).
- Plain Bandaids
- Markers
1. Draw shapes on bandaids. I found it helped to have the shapes on the bandaids be the same color as the shapes on the girl.
2. Have your toddler match the bandaid to each shape.
You’re my favorite once again. I dig deep for kids resources and your activities are special. So simple and so profound for children. Somehow you meet them where they are without ever reducing messages to moralism. Just wanted to say thank you!
I found the shape sorting here great – I could also use the shape sorting to explain that God knows exactly what needs healed and when! No matter how He answers our prayers it’s always true that He is powerful/working/will fix everything in the end. His timing and ideas are the best.

Aw thanks for the encouragement. And I love the idea of using this to show how Jesus know what and when we need. He really does have the best time.
