Me: Hey, Vale, do you want to do a science experiment? Vale: Hurray! Science! Woohoo! Yay! ...Never change, baby girl. ❤ . ..... This weekend we did a little science Experiment to start talking about Psalm 1: 3, "He is like a tree planted by streams of water. He yields his fruit in season, and whatever he does prospers." We took a piece of celery and stuck it in colored water. We made some guesses of what may happen, and then we waited. Just as a plant sucks up water, and begins to look like the water it sucks up. When we dwell in the grace, love, and compassion found in Christ, so we become grace-giving, loving, and compassionate. Where are we dwelling today, friends?

Wrapping up our Butterfly week with some #bookishplay . Can you really do a butterfly week without reading "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" by Eric Carle? I love this books because it beautifully illustrates the transformation of a teenie tiny caterpillar into a beautiful butterfly. In the same way, the love of Christ transforms us into a new creation. Where we have bitterness, Christ guides us in forgiveness. Where we have brokenness, Christ provides healing. And where we have hatred, Christ gives love. May we walk in the love Christ has given us, and may it transforms our hearts, our lives, and our families.

Invitation to make: Nature Pizzas! . .... It's #worldlovewednesday and we have been learning about Italy through the month of July! Keeping with our nature-play theme, we used the Italian Playdough Recipe from "Our Big Neighborhood" to make Nature Pizzas! We simply gathered up some "ingredients" from our backyard and got to work! Today we made these beautiful pressed-flower butterfly wings inspired by @blessnestlearning . She has a wonderful tutorial on how to make these lovely wings, and press flowers in the microwave in her highlights. And I'm sharing a funny story about what happened when we pressed flowers in the microwave up in my stories👆. . ..... We then took our wings up to the #eloisebutlerwildflowergarden and flittered around, exploring all the different wildflowers, and spotting monarch butterflies. We even happened upon a storytime, and saw a butterfly released into the wild!😱😍❤it was beautiful! . ..... If you can't tell, we absolutely love the nature centers in our area.
