This week we have been talking about the shepherds and angels a lot, but Vale has had a hard time grasping the concept of an angel. Not like “Wow! What an amazing being from heaven.” More like “It has wings! It’s a butterfly.” Seriously, everytime she sees an angel, she thinks it’s a butterfly. So today we are tackling this concept with a little intentional conversation and an fun craft.
Clothespin Angel:
What you need:
- Clothespin
- Coffee filter
- Glitter washi tape
- Construction paper circle
- Sharpie
- Glue
What you do:
- Attach washi tape to clothespin.
- Draw a face on paper circle and glue it to clothespin.
- Pinch coffee filter into clothespin.
- Attach string and hang on tree.
As we made this craft we talked about the angels that visited the shepherds, and how they sang, because Jesus was born.
