Incorporating prayers into your bedtime routine can be a simple way of passing on faith to your little ones. And adding scripture to your bedtime prayers can easily help your child memorize the Word. In our home, we pray Psalms 4:8. However, there are so many great verses that could be used at bedtime. Here are 10 of my favorites. Pick one to start praying, and let me know how it goes.
“In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, help me dwell in safety.”
“You makes know to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy. At your right hand are pleasures forever more.”
“The Lord gives strength to his people. He blesses his people with peace.”
“Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted in all the nations; I will be exalted in all the earth.
“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”
“He will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.
“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made, your works are wonderful.
“When you lie down, you will not be afraid. When you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.”
“Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with a righteous right hand.
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.”
