The Best Christian Podcasts for Kids

Podcasts are not necessarily the first thing I think of when I think of toddlers. But in our house we love them for naptime, car time, anytime. As soon as we turn a podcast on, our toddler starts to listen and relax. We’ve incorporated them into our bedtime routine, and the best part: because she enjoys listening to the podcast, when it’s bed time, she puts herself in bed, because she’s ready to listen.

I can’t say this will work for everyone, but it worked for us. And podcasts can be a great way to help entertain on a roadtrip, sneak some learning into playtime, and build faith throughout your day.

Here are our favorite faith-based podcasts and audio resources:

Tiny Theologians

So many of you have recommended this podcast to me, but because it’s in English, it took us a minute. However, I LOVE this one. This beautiful podcast takes littles through the Alphabet showing them the character of God through radio drama. 10 out of 10 recommend.

Annie’s MiniBFF

This podcast is a fun one for littles and parents a like. Join Annie as she reads through the greatest story of all: The Bible.

Jesus is Better

“Jesus is Better” is a podcast that walks children through the Bible, story-by-story. It talks about the choices people in these stories had to make, whether to follow God’s plan or their own plan. It also shows where Jesus is in the story. This podcast leaves kids and parents encouraged and built-up in their faith.

Kids Bible Stories

The Kids Bible Story Podcast artfully shares the Bible with young listeners. It relates each Bible story in a way that children can understand and apply to their own lives.

Saint Stories for Kids

This beautiful podcast teaches kids about the Saints of the Catholic church, and the example they have left for us to follow. Each episode shares general information about the saint as well as a story from their life and ministry.

God’s Big Story

This fun podcast share Bible stories simply for little ears to really understand what the story is saying. I love that it also shares the stories in a way that littles can grasp that the Bible is all apart of God’s big story.

Donuts and Devos

This podcast is a fun one for families to listen to together. Sharing the truth and joy of God’s word for little ears.

VeggieTales: Very Veggie Silly Stories

That’s right! There is now a VeggieTales podcast. Full of silly stories that lead littles back to God and his truth.

Indescribable Kids

This podcast is from the mind of Louie Giglio, and is for sure a favorite over here. 2 kiddos host this podcast with fun, shenanigans, and the truth of the Gospel.

Ask Away

This is another one I had so many people send my way, and I can see why. It’s so good. Meredith digs into Bible Stories with her own kids, in a talk show style. She tells the stories in age appropriate ways, as well as touching on the historical and literary context. She lets her kids ask questions along the way, answering alot of my own kids questions as we listen. Because of the style I’d recommend this one for 7+.

Kaleidoscope Kids Podcast

We love the Kaleidoscope Bible paraphrases for older kids. Their retellings put all of scripture in a way children can understands. So I was thrilled when I discovered they have a podcast. My oldest (8 years-old) was also thrilled. With scripture, jokes, and games, this podcast captivates young learners (Ages 7+).

What podcasts does your family enjoy listening to? I’d love to add to this list. Comment below.

I’m the creator of Ms. Adventure’s Treehouse Podcast: Christian Stories for Kids. I would be so honored if your family would check it out. I tell original stories that in the end help us to understand something amazing about Jesus.

We also love Discovery Mountain in our house….and Sound Detectives, which isn’t faith-based, but is just silly, educational fun. 🙂

Thank you! I just looked at the date of your post. I’m not sure we were even listening to podcasts in 2018 yet. 🙃 Thanks for sharing all of the podcasts you did then. We need to check a few out on your list that we have not yet.
