There are probably 2 things that I could talk about for hours and hours. The first is raising littles who love God and others. The other is raising #bilingualbabies. So I was so excited to chat about all things faith and bilingualism with Janny on the Latina Mom Legacy Podcast (@milegasi). Happy Friday, Friends! As we head into the weekend, I wanted to share with you one of my favorite books: "Thank You, Omu!" By @oge_mora . Omu is a sweet lady who makes a "thick red stew" which she shares with her neighbors (@rachelschelb you would love Omu). In the end she gives away all of her stew, but her neighbors show their gratitude by bringing her food, and they have the Best. Dinner. Ever! Gratitude grows hospitality, and hospitality brings gratitude. Gratitude makes sure everyone has enough. . .... "Thank You, Omu!" Is one of the recommended books in the new "I Am Thankful" study. Anyone else over-the-top excited for the new Frozen movie coming out? Everyday, Vale reminds me that it is coming and that she's '¡tan enociomada!' And of course, I am just feeding into all the excitement. In celebration of Frozen , we will be learning about Norway for #worldlovewednesday through the month of November. Frozen was largely inspired by the country and culture of Norway. Did you know, Disney even had "Frozen Tours" in Norway so you could see the places that inspired the film. Sadly, we won't be taking a literal trips to Norway anytime soon. However, using library books, @spotify, and the rich Norwegian heritage alive and well in Minnesota, we are ready for an adventure this month. Thanksgiving Trees have probably become on of my favorite traditions we have over here. It is always so sweet to hear what the girls are thankful for. It's like taking a peak inside of their little world and finding what brings them joy. With each thumbprint placed on the paper, a new piece of their heart revealed. And that brings me joy. This year so far we are thankful for: -Quigley (my parents' dog that they have repeatedly told me they don't love🤷‍♀️). -Grandma @80lady68 -Grandpa @revgr80 -Auntie Hannah @liz_ady99 -sooooo many little toddler friends -Iglesia - and Waffles! . ❤What are your kids thankful for this year? Tis the season of giving! And with that, we want to seize the opportunity to teach our little ones how to give generously. It feels good to give. It feels good to our little ones learning how to give. However, it can be really easy to get overwhelmed by those good feeling that we forget to reflect if our giving is actually doing good (and also to make sure their not leaving the receivers in a worst place than they started). As ask letters start filling-up our mail boxes, and we start planning service projects for the holidays, I wanted to share this post again. On the blog, I am sharing some things to think about before we embark on our giving. I'm not sharing the names of organizations to support or avoid. But I am sharing some ways we can think critically about our giving so that we can really love our neighbors well, and teach our kids to do the same. 🙌❤ Link in bio. ❤What thoughts do you have on this subject?
