Resurrection Rolls

So first off. This is not my original idea. This recipe is super trendy and all over Pinterest, but I had so many people request I put it on the blog, that I’m posting our Resurrection Roll recipe.

I first learned about these tasty little treats way back before Pinterest was even a dream. I was a Children’s Church helper and the leader created these scrumptious object lessons. I knew if I ever had kids I was going to have to do this with them.

And here we are! This is one of Vale’s favorite Easter activities (but Vale’s favorite food is bread, so you can see why). And now everytime we eat crescent rolls she checks to see if Jesus is inside and shouts “Jesus is Alive!” You really can’t beat that.

Resurrection Rolls

Ingredients:

What you do:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Wrap the marshmallow “Jesus” in the crescent roll tomb.
  3. Place evenly on a greased baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 9-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
  5. Wait for rolls to cool, then open them to reveal that the “tomb” is empty! Jesus is ALIVE!

*Note: Vegan marshmallows do not work. I believe the gelatin plays a roll in helping the marshmallow disappear.
