"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more." -Melody Beattie . What are you thankful for today, friend? What are the mundane things that could be considered blessings? Who can you share your blessings with? When we invite others into our lives, open our home for a playdate, or even share a pan of box mac n' cheese, we are physically giving thanks. We are showing our littles that we have more than enough, and we are grateful. This simple action we let our littles see, says so much more than our words ever could. . My challenge today: Who's that mom acquaintance you've been meaning to invite over? Give them a call (or text) and set up a play date. It could be 3 weeks from now, or even into January 😱. But take the step to invite them in.

It's #worldlovewednesday and through the month of November we are learning about and praying for Norway! One of the things I love most about Norway is its rich folklore. Trolls, the Nisse, and magic, I cannot tell you how much I have loved reading some of these stories. We were able to find a couple of picture books illustrating Norwegian folktales at our local library (swipe to see). And with Christmas around the corner, I finally invested in a Nisse to put on our shelf! On the blog I am sharing about the books and a fun podcast we've found for learning about Norwegian folktales, as well as some other fun ways to explore Norwegian culture with preschoolers. Happy Friday, Friends! As we head into the weekend, I wanted to share with you one of my favorite books: "Thank You, Omu!" By @oge_mora . Omu is a sweet lady who makes a "thick red stew" which she shares with her neighbors (@rachelschelb you would love Omu). In the end she gives away all of her stew, but her neighbors show their gratitude by bringing her food, and they have the Best. Dinner. Ever! Gratitude grows hospitality, and hospitality brings gratitude. Gratitude makes sure everyone has enough. . .... "Thank You, Omu!" Is one of the recommended books in the new "I Am Thankful" study.
