Happy Friday!🎉🎉🎉 Friday is a fun day, so let's have some fun with 5 of my favorite things this week: . ...... 1. Count Your Chickes 🐣 by @peaceable_kingdom . One of Vale's love languages is for sure playing board games, and this has been a favorite this week. One of the best parts is that it's a cooperative game. Everyone works together together to get all the baby chicks into the barn before the mama chick gets home🙌. Perfect for our Los Pollitos theme this week. ❤ . .... 2. This Parent Prayer Guide by @shekeamoreno is by far the best thing I have done for my soul this week. She had been sending out these prayer prompts by email as well as posting on her grid. Go check them all out on her page. They are fantastic and have helped anchor my days this week. I really hope she turns this into a book. This is a tool I know I will keep coming back to. . .... 3. @littleparademusic is one of my favorite bilingual kids bands and they have a new album! This easy-listening music has been a calming presence this week. You all know how much I love my dance parties, but sometime you just need something a little more chill. This music is perfect and also a great tool for families learning Spanish together. . ..... 4. Do you all have an account that you look forward to seeing in you feed. For me it's @liturgiesforparents . Their posts are fantastic and if you're having a hard time feeding your soul this season (or in parenthood in general) you need to go give them a follow. Whenever I read them, it's like coming up for air. They also have helped be understand breath prayers, and I'm hooked. . ..... 5. Ok last, but for sure not least, one of my favorite shops is @thehappygivers . I love all of their products. Seriously, my wishlist from them is like a mile long. All of their profits go to support a children's home in Peru, adoption fund, and Puerto Rico disaster response. They are doing so much good. 🎵Los pollitos dicen pio, pio, pio🎶 . ..... Anyone else have a giant pile of paper tubes they've been hoarding....I mean collecting?😬😂❤ . ..... I finally put my collection to work with this #invitationtocreate pollitos. As we created, we talked about how a mother hen cares for her babies. . ..... 🎵la mama gallina busca por maize y el trigo. Dale sus bebitas y presta su abrigo🎵 . ..... We talked about how that's like how God cares for us (Psalm 91:4). In Vale's words: 'Somos sus pollitos' 🐣🥰😂 (we're his little chicks) . .... Can you guess who made what baby chick? I always love watching my girls create. "He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge." -Psalm 91:4 . ..... My heart keeps on coming back to this verse. Meditating on it. A prayer. Sometimes this season feels crazy, out of control. I'm not sure what next week may look like, much less next month. Let's just say a pandemic was NOT in my 5 year plan. I didn't see this coming, but God did. It did not catch him by surprise, nor will whatever comes next. And he's in this with us. He cares about the hurt in this world. He cares about our anxieties and frustrations. And like a mother hen tends to her young, so the Lord is a shelter in our chaos. . ..... This verse has been ministering to my heart, so I thought I'd help my littles meditate on it too. I pulled out our Little Chicks Pray n' Play Pack. It uses the classic Spanish nursery rhyme "Los Pollitos" to show littles what Psalm 91:4 is all about. I'll be sending out a copy to e-mail subscribers tomorrow as a #churchathome resource. As churches reopen, many will be forgoing children's services as a means of caution. This has some of us realing with anxiety, but then I saw @deeperkidmin post about Praise Bags for kiddos that will be sitting in the big people service....and, well, that led me to make up a toddler version. On the blog you will find the best church busy bag activities for toddlers. 🙌. Link in bio. . ..... ❤Has your church opened already? Let's do some #fridayintroductions : Quarentine Edition😷🙌❤ . I'm Kayla, the mama behind this account❤and here's a little glimpse into what our #stayathome has looked like: . ..... 1. Quarentine has changed my mom look drastically. Before quarentine I wore contacts and generally had my hair up in a messy bun. However, day two of our #stayathomeorder I realized I was out of contacts, and couldn't find any of my hair ties. So here we are 🤷‍♀️Glasses, hairdown, #quarentinehaschangedme . Also, my hair is a lot curlier than it was prebabies, so I guess I'm on a #curlygirljourney . Send your tips curly friends🙌. . ..... 2. My quarentine baking has largely consisted of cinnamon rolls. I have made them about once a week the past 2 months 🙈 They are so good😋 . ..... 3. I am a huge #theoffice fan and two things that have been bringing me so much joy during quarentine are @somegoodnews and @officeladiespod .
