Pray n’ Play: Navidad

When I was a first time mom with littles, trying to prioritize bilingualism in a faith-filled home, I was surprised by the lack of resources for preschoolers in our target language. It felt like we had to prioritize our faith or prioritize bilingualism. Why couldn’t we have both?

So I decided to start making my own resources. Thus was born Pray n’ Play Packs.

Pray n’ Play: Navidad was one of the first resources in my Etsy Shop. I am not a native Spanish speaker, but my husband is, and my littles are. So I knew I wanted to create something that would cultivate a love for the Bible in a way that was culturally relevant.

This resource is far from perfect. As I retired it from the shop last year, I found many a typo that can only be explained by my poor Spanish grammar. But it was made with a lot of love, and a lot of heart. With references to Los Reyes Magos, and Mi Burrito Sabanero, so that my littles could learn to love both Jesus and their culture.

I retired the pack from my shop as I am transition to only selling items that are hard products, and edited professionally by native Spanish-speakers.

However, many, many of you contacted me, asking me to continue sharing this resource as it created a starting point for teaching your own littles the Bible. I have so many, many fun memories of using these resources with my own bilinguitos. And I pray it can continue to be a blessing to those who find and use it. So I will continue to share this offering free here. May our littles always know cuanto Jesús los ama.
