Allhallowtide is apart of the liturgical Church year (October 31st, November 1, and November 2nd).
Historically, All Saints Day has been set aside to celebrate the unity of the Church. We remember those who have gone before us, and because Christ has defeated death, we have a ‘great cloud of witnesses’ cheering us on as we seek to live God’s Kingdom here on earth.
I find this ironic, because All Hallows Eve (Halloween) has become the most divisive day among modern Christians. I literally cringe just thinking about all of the tension on the Internet surrounding these days.
But what if it didn’t have to be this way? What if we, as believers, relentlessly sought unity on these days. ‘We wrestle against principalities and powers’ that would like nothing more than to destroy the unity of the Church, and distract us from living as the Kingdom of God on Earth (Ephesians 6:12). What if we acknowledge that and do what we can to seek unity with one another?
That is the main goal of Shine: Pray n’ Play Allhallowtide.
I wanted to create something that could guide families in historic Christian meditation, while also keeping with ones convictions around these days. Let’s join together, and choose unity over division. Let’s seek first the Kingdom, loving one another as Christ has loved us.

Shine: Pray n’ Play Allhallowtide was designed to guide families in exploring Allhallowtide through the lense of Church history.
Together we will reflect:
-‘Jesus is the light of the world and he has shared this light with us.’
-‘Christians throughout history have shined for Jesus?
-‘ How can we continue shining for Jesus?‘

This guide is absolutely free, because I don’t want any barriers to being able to participate. On a day that was historically set apart for the unity of the church, let’s set aside divisions and seek to be the family God we are called to be.
