Our faith is full of rich tradition. From hymns, to prayers, and the promises within scripture…we have a spiritual legacy we are passing on to our children.
The ‘Tiny Hands’ Board Book series by Hannah Estes is a gift for families wanting to pass on this legacy to their littles. Our children are never to young to experience our faith. Let’s invite them in during these little years.

What I Love
These board books are a gorgeous way to pass on traditions of our faith. They are sturdy, and easy to clean, making them perfect for reckless toddlers. Each page is thoughtfully illustrated, making it a contemplative prayer in itself. And each page is paired with a scripture, a prayer, or a hymn (depending on the book).
Tiny Hands Promises:
This gorgeous board book discusses promises throughout scripture, paired with actual verses from the Bible (Scripture translation provided by Iain Duguid). Each of these verses affirm that we have a good Heavenly Father who loves us and cares for us. Reading these passages are a fantastic way to practice Lecto Divina (Praying Scripture) with our little ones.
Tiny Hands Prayers :
This tiny prayer book features actual prayers from scripture. Let me tell you the joy I had when I saw they lead out with the prayer of Mother Mary! Then they have Hannah’s prayer. Love when ladies shown up in the faith books we offer our children. They also feature prayers by Daniel and Paul (2 of my favorite bilinguals). This one is for surena treasure.

Tiny Hands Hymns:
Some of you all may not feel as nostalgic about the hymns as I do. My dad was a small-town pastor growing up. And once a month, he would talk a turn leading a service at the local nursing home. And he would always take my brother and I with him. It was here where most of my memories of the hymns take place. Singing with those from another generation, with songs that ministered to their hearts. I can’t say I loved singing hymns as a child. But I will say now I look back at those memories with fondness. And when I read the hymns in this book that where my memory take me. Teaching our littles hymns can be a beautiful way for us to connect with generations older than ours. It provides an avenue for us to understand that corporal worship is coming together with those from other walks of life. And we come together unified in praise of our Creator. Whether you are in need of a busy bag book for Sunday mornings, or you also participate in a nursing home service, I highly recommend this book.
