Written in the form of questions and answers, this has been helpful for many a Christian in learning more about their faith and passing it on to their children.

Now sharing this gift with your children is easier than ever.

The Illustrated Westminister Shorter Catechism in Modern English by Paul Cox guides families through the catechism using child-friendly illustrations so that children may better understand the catechism and their faith.

What we love

To be honest, Catechisms are a fairly new tradition to me. I did not grow-up using this tool, but when I was introduced to it as a new parent, it was something I really began to appreciate.

The modern English version can be so helpful for families newly embracing liturgical living. This coupled with the engaging illustrations can make this a wonderful tool for daily family devotions. Many families choose to study one question and answer a week, or work towards memorizing the catechism. This book can assist with either goal.

I also love that this illustrated catechism provides scripture references for the answers given, which can be used for deeper study by both older children and grown-ups.

Where to buy

Catechism may not be the perfect fit for every family. However, if it is a cherished part of your faith tradition, The Illustrated Westminister Shorter Catechism in Modern English is a beautiful way to pass this tradition onto your littles.
