Learning Good News Calendar

2019 is coming quickly, and most of us are making resolutions. One of our resolutions this year is to memorize a few more scripture verses as a family.

So you can imagine how tickled I was when Liz from Learning Good News invited me to check out their Handprint Calendar. This wonderful tool will help capture a year in your child’s life, while also making opportunity to learn God’s Word.

A Handprint Calendar

Each page features a picture that your child completes with their hand or foot prints. Make a lion’s mane in March, May the hands make little flowers, and in December a footprint completes an angel. Collect precious memories of your child’s growth throughout the year.

Hide God’s Word In Their Hearts

Each picture illustrates a Scripture Verse. This can be a perfect tool to help your child memorize scripture throughout the month (and actually how we plan to use it). As your child completes the picture, read them the scripture verse and discuss what it means. Hang the calendar in a place they will see it everyday. Make a point of saying the scripture verse everytime they see it, and reminding them of God’s truth.

The Perfect Gift

This could make an awesome gift for Grandparents. Fill-in the handprints and footprints, before you gift it. Then they can be reminded of their special little one throughout the year.

This would also make a wonderful gift for new parents, expecting a baby in January. What a special treasure to see their growth throughout the year, and mark mile-stones on the calendar.
